The Centre for Micro and Nano Sciences and Technologies (CMNZT) is a component of the University of Rijeka that conducts several activities in the field of micro and nano sciences and technologies:

• pursuing and developing scientific research
• proposing scientific and development projects
• encouraging and conducting international scientific collaboration
• conducting projects, studies and expertise in collaboration with businesses
• providing scientific equipment and services to other scientific and business entities
• providing educational activities to departments and faculties of the University
• conducting mentorships for PhD students
• organizing scientific and specialized congresses
